Our Accomodation and Facilities

The Centre's main building is a former large family home set in soft woodlands in the Pilion Mountains of Greece where, according to ancient Greek mythology, dwelled the fabulous Centaurs, half-man half-horse.

The building has been extensively renovated to cater for workshop groups. 19 beds in six bedrooms, all with shared toilets and showers Tent accommodation. You can pitch you or a centre tent in our shaded tent area or in the woods all served by a shower, sinks and toilet block.

The Dining area seats 30 in a beautiful bamboo and grape vine covered area.

The Lower Group Room, 10 by 11 meters bordered by a chestnut forest. A beautiful secluded space for workshops and activities.

Our rooms are simple and clean, with stones floors in the house on two levels as the house is built on a terrace. There are spectacular views from the upper rooms in which there are two double-bed rooms and two larger rooms each with 3 and 4 beds in respectively.
On the lower floor is a twin and two 4-bed rooms. Separate from the main house by a few yards is a small block for two beds. For the adventurous, there is a tree-house which can sleep three on two levels, a bamboo hut and several tents in and on the edge of the forest

Local Accomodation

Should you arrive a day or two early for your workshop, we may or may not be able to accomodate you at our Centres, depending on whether the workshop taking place at the time is full or not. Additionally, you may wish to stay on at the Center a few days after your workshop as a short-term guest, and this is sometimes possible, subject to similar considerations. Our current rates are €37.50 per day for full board, and you will be expected to be part of the community. Should we be unable to accomodate you at one of our Centres on either side of your workshop booking, there are good local alternatives for all budgets.

"Domatia" (Rooms) The standard price is set by the tourist police, but you can often negotiate a lower price, especially in June or September. Most all will have en suite shower/toilet, and are double rooms priced officially at £25/€40 and up. If you want breakfast ask for it the night before; it will cost an extra £3-4, €4-6)

Camping in Chorefto or Ag. Ioannis

If you have tent and sleeping bag, there is a full service camping site with chalets to rent near the Papa Nero beach at Ag Ioannis, tel. (+30) 24260 31319, €6/night with small tent. The extreme north end of Chorefto beach is naturist and you can pitch your own tent there except during high season when the tourist police make the occasional symbolic clearout, obliging everyone to pack up and leave for a day or two.
